Wingshot Kennels ...  where vizsla's come from....

Wingshot Kennels is located in Alpine, a small rural town in central Alabama. We are located about 2 hours from Atlanta & Montgomery; and about 1 hour from Birmingham. Our home sits on a hillside overlooking beautiful Logan Martin Lake. On 2 sides we are surrounded by the woodlands of YMCA Camp Cosby. We started with a small kennel, then enlarged it, to allow us to provide puppies for placement with other families who share the same type of love for vizsla's & the outdoors as we do.

We consider our vizsla's to be family members and they all receive lots of loving attention. They all have a gentle temperament, are eager to please, some are good hunters and others are a little too spoiled. All of our vizsla's are registered with AKC and each litter of pups is registered. Puppies are born in our home. All puppies receive shots and deworming before leaving for new homes and come with a written health guarantee. Vizsla puppies have their tails docked and dewclaws removed. The puppies get plenty of exercise and are handled & talked to daily. We take many precautions to insure that our puppies are healthy, happy and socialized and we try to make sure that they end up in the hands of a caring responsible owner. We want you to rest assured that we would not knowingly sell a defective puppy. We ask our new owners to take their pet ownership responsibilities seriously. A vizsla will be your life long companion. Puppies are usually ready for new homes at 7 weeks of age. If you cannot come to visit us in person to select a pup, we can handle everything by phone and internet. Puppies cannot be air shipped until they are 8 weeks old. We ship to all of the US states except Alaska & Hawaii. If you prefer that your puppy is not air shipped, we can sometimes make arrangements for personal delivery.

All of our adult dogs come from hunting lines and are bred for conformation, temperment, intelligence, also endurance, proper range & bird finding ability.  They are all day dogs that will give you all they have.

If you are interested in a started  dog for hunting, please let us know.  Jeff can talk to you about training your bird dog.  Some of our puppies have some "play time" with the pheasant wing before they leave us for their new homes.
